Keep IC and OOC separate. Don't godmod. Don't harass other members. Major storylines do not need approval unless they will affect more than a handful of people and then we would just like you to run it by us first. Anything that could be considered triggering or NSFW should be behind a cut along with images larger than 400x400px.

you will need an ic username that is some version of your character's first, middle or last name. the username should contain no extraneous letters, numbers or underscores.

aim is optional, but if you choose to use it, please be sure to make your screen name ic, as well.

examples should be at least two scenes with a minimum of four replies from you and two first person entries or narratives.

a backdated friends only post and an ooc/screened contact post should be recent and in the journal prior to applying.

we will not be allowing use of the noembed code in profiles so that we can keep track of friends lists. along these same lines we request that you clear out your friends list from any previous communities and friends.

a full biography of 3-5 paragraphs or 10-15 detailed facts is required and should contain basic information (name, dob, age, family, occupation, etc.) along with species information that includes powers and abilities.

pbs should be age-appropriate to the character you are applying and should be within five years of the character's age. we will not allow deceased pbs and should be searchable in google with some sort of claim to fame. no original pbs.

challenges are allowed but limited to one challenge per bp. in case of a challenge, both applications will be reviewed along with examples, but will not be judged until the original hold applies or expires.

after acceptance into the community, you must post a survey in your journal within 72 hours. failure to do so will result in removal. you may leave the survey open for comments or not, but it is encouraged so that interaction may begin as soon as you arrive in the community.

posting requirements are two random updates and one narrative or first person entry each calendar month. standard updates should be heavily coded or more than 300 words of original content. random updates may be whatever you like.

depending upon what point in the month you are added, your activity requirement may be adjusted. we don't want someone added late in the month to scramble to get three updates done by the end of the month.

you will be available for override if you have shown no public activity in two weeks and may be removed if you have shown no public activity in three weeks.

if you are removed for activity and wish to reapply, you may do so only after you have posted a current update in your journal.

you must keep your friends list as up to date as possible. if you fail to update your friends list for two weeks you will be up for override. if after three weeks you have not updated your friends list, you will be up for removal.

a hiatus or extension may be granted if necessary but this is a privilege and the opportunity should not be abused. a hiatus should be for more than two weeks and less than six. an extension may be granted for up to five days. if a trend of needing extensions or hiatuses becomes an issue, we reserve the right to revoke the privilege.

as long as there is wiki information on the species you wish to play, you are welcome to it. here is a list of legendary creatures if you need information or inspiration.

please use discretion when choosing the powers and abilities for your particular supernatural creature and try to give them as many weaknesses as they have strengths. remember that you need to have mod permission if something your character does affects more than a handful of people, and you need permission from specific characters if your character does something that will affect them in some way. if you just assume or don't get permission before doing something, that is considered godmodding and it is not permitted.

humans are largely unaware of the supernatural presence because of a glamour that each supernatural uses to shield themselves. supernaturals may choose to reveal themselves to certain humans if they choose, but should be prepared for the fallout if the human goes to authorities or the media.
